Academic Integrity and Quality Initiative
Academic Integrity and Quality Initiative (Academic IQ) Project pursues the goal to develop professional community of educators and administrators who collaborate to support academic integrity across Ukrainian higher education institutions (HEIs).
The Project is implemented by American Councils for International Education with the support of the USA Embassy to Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance of Ukraine.
The Academic IQ Project is oriented to bring common systemic approach to realization of legislative initiatives and requirements with respect to academic integrity in Ukrainian universities; to provide training and technical support to personnel of the internal centers of education quality assurance of HEIs in their intention to introduce efficient mechanisms to monitor education quality, to reveal key reasons of violation of academic integrity principles by the participants of educational process and to provide expert recommendations on how to improve the quality of education in HEIs. The online course “Integration of Academic Integrity into Educational Programs” will be developed and the training for academic personnel on how to implement this course will be carried out.
The support will be provided for the internal quality assurance centers or their equivalents in 60 HEIs of Ukraine during two-year lifetime of the Project. Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University is one of the beneficiaries.
For the Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University the Academic IQ Project will result in improvement of environment for responsible treatment of academic integrity issues and development of academic integrity culture in the University.
