UNIVERSITY SOLAR PANELS FOR THE FIGHTERS
Is it possible to defeat a country where the majority of citizens are trying to promote victory by bringing together, like ants, efforts, resources, and love? The employees and students of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University have been “involved” in the process since the first days of the war. Some joined the Armed Forces, while others began canning stews, making improvised bandages and collecting humanitarian aid for the fighters. Others are constantly making sure that our pets have food and medicine. Scientists have contributed in making ointments, oils, tinctures, pastes with anti-inflammatory, disinfectant, analgesic, anti-burn functions and more. And there are those the information about whom cannot be revealed yet.
The students and lecturers of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physics and Technology did not stay away from helping our soldiers. Professor of the Department of Experimental Physics, Information and Educational Technologies, Oleksandr Martyniuk spoke about an extremely useful device in wartime.
These are hand-made solar panels with the capacity of charging up to four devices simultaneously. Some components were purchased and some were manufactured on their 3D printer.
“Problems were heard during communication with our fighters, there are no stationary power sources at checkpoints and group places, and it is not always possible to use diesel generators every time,” Oleksandr Semenovych says. – Therefore, we decided to get involved in solving this problem. We started designing and manufacturing autonomous charging modules for power banks, smartphones, tablets, and other equipment using solar panels.”
Such devices will allow soldiers to recharge their gadgets throughout the day, because even indoors the device shows high efficiency.
We started with the creation of five modules, according to the related need. Clearly, much more is to come, so the production will be continued depending on the number of orders from our fighters.
